The film shows of Movie-Poetry of the I BIP, go to the cinema Brasilia and occupies the first week of September, it will offer eight films that cannot be missed of Brazilian poets. In two long films, one half and five short films, including fiction and documentaries, all being rewarded, the public will see the history and poetry of Castro Alves, Cruz and Sousa, Cora Coralina, Cassiano Nunes and Paulo Leminski, Waly Salomão, Chico Alvim, Jackal and Helena Kolody.
Both films tell the passionate path of Castro Alves (Spoken Portrait of the Poet), under the masterful direction of Silvio Tendler and Cruz e Sousa (The Poet’s Exile), the first brazilian symbolist, biography by Sylvio Back. Among the short films is one of Back, The Babel of Light, where the controversial filmmaker and poet of Santa Catarina reveals the poet Helena Kolody, then aged 80.
Another poet protagonist of the sample is the goiana Cora Coralina, with tributes in two beautiful shorts by Brazilian filmmakers Waldir Pina (Cora Coralina: The Call of the Stones) and Armando Lacerda / Vincent Fonseca (Cora Dulce Coralina). The production Viva Cassiano! is from Brasilia, where Bernardo Bernardes celebrates the poet Cassiano Nunes, who died last year, and is heritage of the Brazilian literature.
Grammar got assaulted, of Ana Maria Magalhães, who introduced in video clip language the poets of the generation called marginal, Paulo Leminsky, Chico Alvim, Waly Salomão and Chacal in a dramatised fiction. Rarity, the documentary pays tribute to Ana C. Cesar and has Lulu Santos, the Paralamas and Scarlet Moon in the theme-song. The sample of the I BIP brings the cartoon The Poet, by Paulo Munhoz, film that won many awards and has again Leminsky in the plot, as well as Fernando Pessoa.
