The Embassy of Spain has defined a group of actions to support the I Biennial of Poetry: to sponsor the travel of the visual poet Juan Alcón, to enroll the exhibition OBRANOME2, and one more representative of contemporary Spanish poetry, for the reading sessions of foreign poetry.
The final touches were made at the National Library of Brasilia, between the event’s coordination and Viginia Curtis, assistant of the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation, last week. The cooperation will benefit particularly the youth audience of the I Biennial of Poetry, once there will be a poetry contest called Prêmio Talento Literário, for gifted young students from the public education network of Brasilia,
The plan is to translate the best poems to be edited in a bilingual version and sent out to public libraries of Brazil and Spain. Prof. Josué Mendes and Olzeni Ribeiro from the ministry of education will coordinate the project. To date, 58 panels of Mostra Garcia Lorca will be restored, to be exhibited at an university.
